This page's URL slug is over 150 characters. While there's no hard limit on URL length in the HTTP specification, excessively long URLs are problematic:

  • They're hard to share, copy, or remember
  • Some tools and browsers truncate very long URLs
  • They dilute keyword relevance in the URL
  • They look spammy to both users and search engines

Best practice is to keep URLs concise, typically under 75-100 characters for the path portion.
